Beginners’ skate workshop and group discussion with Inga Kruse and members of the queer and female skate community.
Transformation is neither an exception nor an isolated event, but rather a fundamental condition of the presents, pasts and futures that connect and divide us. Nothing exists on its own or forever. Places, ideas, images, bodies, institutions and the relationships between them are in a constant state of change, shaped by different positions, perspectives and ways of seeing. Everything is interconnected across space and time.
Against the backdrop of technological, political and social upheavals, the question arises of how realities are constituted and continually renegotiated. The participating artists have developed perspectives and lines of inquiry into (im)possible pasts, transformations and futures. The exhibition is not an ending, but a moment of suspension within an ongoing, still-open process of collective practice and research.
